How-to configure your PAP2 for use with ViaTalk

A simple tutorial to use when setting up a BYOD account on a PAP2 NA.

Connect the PAP2 to your router via ethernet and power it up. When the power light stays on solid - Follow these instructions:

1.) Press **** on a phone that’s plugged into the phone adapter. Once you hear the voice say, “Configuration Menu,” press 110#. A voice will read you an IP address. Write this IP address down.

2.) Go to your computer, and open up a web browser (internet explorer, etc). Type the IP address you wrote down earlier into the address bar. The Linksys screen should load.

3.) All the way to the right, there is a link that says “ADMIN LOGIN”. Click on that link. You may be asked for a username and password.

4.) The page will reload. Once it does, click on LINE 1 at the top of the screen.

Once the page loads, you will see the configuration fields. Contact your Voip provider for the following information.

Proxy:

Display Name:

Username:

Password:

DTMF Tx Method:

5.) Fill in the info above, leaving the other fields at the default. Submit changes using the button at the bottom of the screen.

The adapter will powercycle and the Line 1 light will light up. You should now have dialtone and inbound and outbound calling.
